USA, ca. 1950s. A charming cherry occasional table by Vermont artist and furniture maker Roy Sheldon. Features wonderful live edge top with dramatic graining supported by splayed conical legs. Sheldon would source the tops for his tables from “forest trees” found on his extensive property - and would then sell them from his front yard. An excellent example from the studio craft movement with a pleasing organic shape. Freshly waxed with a mellow luster, the condition is excellent.
Great original paper label and signature to underside.
