USA, ca. 1960s. A supremely comfortable and classically modern lounge chair with ottoman designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Features Brazilian rosewood body with supple black leather upholstery. Cast aluminum swivel bases enhance functionality. Introduced in 1956, the Model 670 / 671 was inspired by the notion of a traditional English club chair - yet with a distinctively Eames twist. The use of rosewood was phased out beginning in the early 1990s, which makes this model even more desirable. Professionally refinished and conditioned. In excellent vintage condition.
