USA, ca. 1960s. An earlier DCM - or Dining Chair with Metal frame - by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Features signature molded walnut plywood seat and back supported by polished chrome frame with nylon glides. Originally designed in 1946, the DCM began its life as an experiment in the Eames’ California apartment. However, it has become a classic due to its ergonomic - yet attractive - form. White medallion to underside dates production from 1956 to 1964. Condition is excellent.
Makes for a great desk or accent chair.
