USA, ca. 1970s. A graphic lithographic poster by pop artist Robert Indiana (1928-2018). Commissioned by the Smithsonian Institution for the opening exhibition of the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden in Washington, DC in 1974, it features a bold composition in four colors. One of only 100 examples executed on wove paper and signed by the artist, this is print is numbered 69/100 with Indiana’s name in script to the bottom right corner.

A scarce survivor from a very specific moment in American art - the piece is in overall excellent vintage condition. Freshly framed with archival materials in a white lacquered wood frame with conservation glass.

Really quite fun.
