Denmark, ca. 1960s. A versatile pair of folding tables by Ansager Møbler. Each features teak construction with a banded rectangular top supported by X-shape folding legs. Low stretchers and brass hardware ensure stability - while a wooden pin locks the legs in place. Perfect as occasional tables for cocktail parties or entertaining, these would also do well flanking a sofa as lamp tables on a porch - or even as minimalist nightstands in a guest room. Supremely functional - yet attractive - they very much bring to mind the campaign-inspired designs of Mogens Koch or Kaare Klint. Professionally refinished, the condition is excellent with a warm color to the wood.
