Denmark, ca. 1960s. A set of six dining chairs by Kai Kristiansen for Korup Stolefabrik. Each features a solid teak frame with high curved ladder back and softly tapered legs. Seats have been freshly upholstered in a durable charcoal Danish wool from Maharam. Comfortable with an accommodating scale, their attractive silhouette is a pleasing take on a more traditional form - and would pair well with a variety of tables from antique to contemporary. Professionally refinished, the condition is excellent with a lovely warm tone to the wood.
