England, ca. 1830. A handsome pair of Regency style hall or accent chairs. Each features solid oak construction with a round back, elegantly turned front legs, and splayed rear legs. Less ornate than other examples we have encountered, we were drawn to their striking silhouette. Perfect for a foyer or mudroom - with sturdy flat seats just begging for a stack of books. Carved handle to the reverse of backrest is a fun period detail.
Gently refurbished and overall excellent antique condition with a warm surface patina. Stately - yet not stuffy.
