Denmark, ca. 1950s. A rare armchair designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Jutex. Features solid teak construction with sculptural, horseshoe-shaped backrest, paddle arms, and flared stretchers. Back and seat are upholstered in original black leather, which remains supple - yet with an appealing and honest age. Attractive from all angles, this chair would make a welcome addition to any home office - or serve as a useful occasional chair in the living room, den, etc. Teak frame has been professionally refinished and presents beautifully. A lovely piece to live with and appreciate daily.
