USA, ca. 1960s. A stylish pair of lounge chairs by renowned Boston furniture maker Charak. Each features a classic tuxedo shape with loose seat and back cushion supported by a sturdy ebonized base. Original velvet upholstery brings to mind the textile designs of Jack Lenor Larsen. While there is some wear to the fabric, we were rather charmed by the lived-in feel - and think the chairs could be a fabulous statement piece in the right space.
Quite comfortable and in overall very good vintage condition. RESIDE can also facilitate fresh upholstery if so desired.
