USA, ca. early 19th century. A decorative and unusual pair of snow jacks or snow birds used to help control sheets of falling ice. Each features sand cast iron construction with a wonderfully primitive sunburst motif mounted with a flame. Acquired from one of our favorite folk art dealers, who cleverly mounted the pieces to custom black wood bases. A playful addition to one’s mantle or bookcase. Overall excellent antique condition.
