Canada, ca. 1960s. An attractive pair of Model 900 ceramic table lamps by Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund. Each features a long tapered neck with flared base finished in a rich mottled brown glaze. Original fiberglass and jute lampshades cast a lovely, atmospheric light. Impressive in scale, this pair would be perfect on a credenza, atop a long console table, or flanking a sofa. Professionally rewired with 3-way sockets and fitted with a brown cloth cords. Condition is excellent.
Originally from Copenhagen, the Bostlund family made their way to Toronto in the early 1950s. By the 1960s, their handmade lamps were retailed by stores such Georg Jensen and B. Altman.
