Mexico, ca. 1950s or 1960s. A large and decorative table lamp by Texcoco. Features handmade ceramic construction with an abstracted figural form that feels both modern and ancient. Black glaze and incised geometric design adds interest and very much brings to mind the terracotta pieces of Picasso. Presented as found with its original fabric and paper shade, which we think really adds to its overall charming presence. Professionally rewired and ready for placement. There is age appropriate wear to the shade and minor paint loss to the wood base - but all for the better.
