Sweden, ca. 1960s. A refined floor lamp by American lighting designer George Kovacs. Features solid teak construction with elegantly tapered shaft supported by a perfectly weighted - and footed - base. Subtly detailed, it is an appealing example of Scandinavian craftsmanship. Wonderfully versatile and atmospheric when illuminated. Professionally rewired and fitted with a new linen shade / brown cloth cord, the condition is excellent.
