Jean Michel Folon RUFUS Poster

Jean Michel Folon RUFUS Poster

$2,600.00

France, ca. 1980s. A large lithographic poster that originally accompanied the vinyl LP The Music of Jean-Marie Sénia by Rufus. Born in 1942, Rufus is the stage name of Jacques Narcy, a French actor perhaps best known for his role as Raphaël, the father of Amélie Poulain, in Amélie.

Features a compelling minimalist image by the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005). Boldy executed in red, white, and blue, this would make a great conversation piece for anyone with an interest French music or film - and is certainly impactful enough to anchor a wall.

Signed in the plate and printed by Théâtre de la Gaité Montparnasse, it has been professionally framed with archival materials. Poster shows signs of being folded, which we especially like. Framing mint.

Dimensions: 36” wide x 50” high x 1.25” deep.
