USA, ca. 1970s. A bold lithograph by Massachusetts artist Ron Michaud. Titled “Le Pèlerin” or “The Pilgrim” - it was commissioned by the Worcester Art Museum in 1977 for donors of the institution. Features a strong geometric composition in black and gray with pops of orange. Signed, numbered, and dated, the piece has been freshly mounted in a white lacquer frame with archival materials. Quite striking with good scale and in excellent condition.
Based in Western Massachusetts, Ron Michaud has taught painting, drawing, and color theory for 35 years - first at Westfield State University and then the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. His work can be found in national and international public and private collections.
