USA, ca. 1950s. A high chest from Heywood Wakefield’s classic Sculptura line by Leo Jiranek (1900-1990), Features solid birch construction with five deep drawers - each with a slightly curved front and scalloped middle pull - all supported by a sturdy plinth base. An extremely clean example, the original “Champagne” finish is in excellent vintage condition with warm patina. Lightly refurbished, we wanted to keep this piece’s honest period feel.
Offers tremendous storage in a compact footprint with a pleasing design that effortlessly straddles Art Deco and MCM. Perfect for a city bedroom, children’s room, etc.
