England, ca. early 19th century. An attractive George III bachelor’s chest in a quite useful and versatile size. Features beautifully grained mahogany construction with three graduated dovetailed drawers - each with octagonal brass ring pulls. Pull out surface was intended to serve as space for brushing clothes - or a young gentleman’s impromptu writing surface. Sensitively refurbished with rich patina, this classic piece would be great in a foyer, hallway, or even as a large bedside table. Excellent antique condition.
