Italy, ca. 1950s. A pair of ladder back side chairs very much after Gio Ponti. Each features a sturdy ebonized beech frame with high backs and upholstered seats freshly covered in a pleasing goldenrod wool from Maharam. Playful yet stylish, these would be great flanking a console or chest in a hallway or foyer. Overall excellent vintage condition with minimal and appropriate wear to the wood frames.
