Italy, ca. 1950s. A pair of delicate stone bowls each with a lovely hand carved shape and low profile. While the stone is unknown, the small bowl appears to be white onyx and the large bowl is most likely a type of jasper. Finely executed and thinly walled, they pick up the light around them beautifully. Decorative yet organic, these would make an appealing addition to any coffee table, open shelf, etc. Excellent vintage condition.
