USA, ca. 1950s. A monumental ceramic table lamp by Lee Rosen for Design Technics. Features hand thrown stoneware body with tall cylindrical form and bold ribbing, set on a turned wood base. The abstract patterning is delicately hand-pressed, finished in a matte wash glaze creating an overall organic presence–very much brings to mind the sandcast work of Constantino Nivola. An impressive piece with good scale, it would be ideal for a credenza or atop a console. Professionally rewired with brown silk cord and fitted with a new black paper shade. Condition is excellent.
