USA, ca. 1970s. An unusual floor lamp modeled after the famed Luxo L1 architect’s lamp - originally designed in Norway in 1937 by Jac Jacobsen. Features a polished aluminum rotating shade supported by an articulating brass arm on a sturdy, weighted base. Easily pivots and would be fun next to a sofa - or perched next to a large work table. A postmodern take on a classic modernist form - that is sure to become a conversation piece. In overall excellent vintage condition with appealing, age-appropriate patina to metal surface.
Dimensions: lower arm measures 43” long; upper arm measures 38”long, base measures 16” wide x 8.5” deep x 2.5” high, shade measures 10” diameter x 8” high.
