Germany, ca. 1910. A fascinating set of technical drawing tools by E. O. Richter of Chemnitz. Includes silver nickel compasses, ruling pens, etc., all in carefully fitted blue velvet and leather carrying case. Case is stamped with the name Harry Bogner, who was born in Warwick, RI in 1891. He studied at the Imperial Technical School of Austria before studying architecture at the University of Pennsylvania in 1914-1915. By 1919, he formed his first partnership in Milwaukee, W, where he would remain for the rest of his career. Precisely and beautifully made with clever concealed locking mechanism. In overall excellent vintage condition with pleasing, well-used wear to case. Dimensions: 9” wide x 4” deep x 1” high. Item: 3445-11.
